Get up - Start walking

Updated: Jul 19, 2021

Walking is to move at a regular pace by lifting and setting down each foot in turn, never having both feet off the ground at once. Easier to do then to understand.

Humans started walking upright from at least 6 to 3 million years ago. That's a long time ago. Walking is beneficial for us than sitting on a chair binge watching or working on a laptop, speaking long term off course. After some time our spending will be more on our health and medicines, words of any parent. Same is with me. So here I came up with 4 different levels you need to cross to get yourself going. A gentle reminder that the levels are not easy, this is game of life.

Level 1 (waking up)

Being a computer engineer, I am in that globe of people who are cursed their entire life to hear this thing. One day it got on my nerve and I put a alarm of 4 am and went to sleep, hoping I could wake up at 4 and be ready by 4:45 am. Things don't work like this when you asleep. My brain just would not let me get up and get going. 5 minutes went by thinking what worse can happen, right. Finally I had decided to put another alarm of 5 am, so that I can sleep 30 minutes more anyway it's still dark outside. But after I woke up at 6 am, I began to think what the hell happened to my 5 am alarm. And their was no way but to blame my alarm clock. But one day you will get up and take out your dirty jogging shoes and start walking.

You have crossed level 1.

Level 2 (Going for walk)

Congratulations! You have reached level 2.

An early morning walk is a blessing for a whole day. We all know the benefits of walking, in my case I have a permanent reminder - my parents. Walking helps you feel more energetic and ensures you a good sleep at night. But some days you have to stay and work late or party in other cases. So this means you go to bed late. You woke up late. Late. Late. Late.

You have crossed level 2.

Level 3 (Managing your time)

Congratulations! You have reached level 3.

Now it's time to manage your time.

If you are aware of budget planning you must be aware of a rule which says plan your savings first and then spend the rest what you have. Same should go for your time planning as well. Ensure that you go to sleep at say 11 pm and just carry forward any work item you have to next day. You have to set a time to where you switch your machine off.

But when you keep doing this, slowly and slowly, you start falling short of that motivation that keep you going at the first place. You have crossed level 3.

Level 4 (Keeping yourself motivated)

Congratulations!! You have reached level 4.

Not it's time to keep yourself motivated to follow the routine.

Motivation is the process of stimulating people actions to accomplish the goals. So think - what motivates you to keep going. It should not be to just get rid of the curse of hearing how lazy you are from your parents. Motivation should come within you. Nature may motivate you. Music may motivate you. People can motivate you. Like in my case, its nature and I love to woke up early and try a different location to walk. New sights help us bring new thoughts and help in refreshing you internally. You do not even feel tried once you start loving your surroundings.

Here are some pictures, where I walked into some unknown areas and explored the unseen.
